The principle of liquid-cooled heat sinks: A complete liquid-cooled heat sink system generally consists of a water-cooled plate, a circulation pump, piping, and a heat exchanger (reservoir). Each component serves a distinct purpose. For instance, the water block is a heat sink made of aluminium or a copper-aluminium composite with internal water channels. The coolant circulates through the piping via the pump. Once the coolant has absorbed heat from the component, it flows away from the water block attached to the component, whilst fresh, cool coolant continues to absorb heat from the component.
